The air to air energy recovery equipment is the model application of the evaporative cooling technology in air conditioning domain which can be used to recover the energy of exhaust air of air-conditioning systems effectively. It is vital significance to reduce the air conditioning energy consumption and the realization construction energy conservation.In summer, water is sprayed in the exhaust air passage of air to air energy recovery equipment used by air-conditioning and evaporated. The heat of the outdoor air is transferred to the exhaust air passage through the plate. In winter, The sensible heat exchange of the outdoor air is transferred to the exhaust air passage through the plate.According to theory of heat transfer and fluid mechanics,we establish the mathemtical model of air to air energy recovery equipment and use the VC++ of computer language to create the simulation program which is used to calculate the pressure drop of heat exchanger cores. Through we analyze and study the core pressure drop of various factors, we know the board spacing, width (high) and wind speed on the core pressure drop of the effects.Based on the analysis of simulation, a three-dimensional mathematical model was developed which describes heat transfer and mass transfer process in air to air energy recovery equipment used by Air Conditioning based on the method of Computational Fluid Dynamics. Boundary conditions of the heat transfer and mass transfer process of air to air energy recovery equipment used by Air Conditioning was defined by compiling user-customizable applications. The mathematical model was solved by CFD.Based on the results of the mathematical model, the distributions of the pressure and the temperature in the outdoor air channels,and the pressure,temperature and relative humidity in the exhaust air channels are obtained.Other based on the results of the mathematical model,we use the field synergy principle to analysis heat transer conditions in the channels. Used the existing air to air energy recovery experiment platform and experimental data acquisitions oftware automatically,experiment of core aerodynamic is tested.In summer according to the experiments, resistance of air to air energy recovery experiment under different wind speed and different wind is tested. Compared it to the numerical results, we can find that the numerical results are in agreement with the analysis ones.Other, resistance of air to air energy recovery equipment under different wind speed and different wind in winter is tested too. The results provide reference to the optimization design and energy-saving operation of air to air energy recovery equipment used by Air Conditioning.This subject is a sub subject of significant plan project of science and technology department in china, which is "Research of Thermal Recovery technology of Indirect Evaporative air-conditioning" (Number 2008-K1-29).
