| Between 2007 and 2009, birds were studied with the methods of line transect and sample point in 8 civil aviation airports and their surrounding areas in Inner Mongolia, including Erdos, Baotou, Hohhot, Xilinhot, Chifeng, Tongliao, Ulanhot and Hailar. The results showed that:1. During the survey,234 species of birds were recorded totally, belonging to 52 families 18 orders, in which there were 25 species appeared in every airport. Among them,24 species were breeding birds (including resident species and summer migrant species), except Little Bunting. Breeding birds constituted the main part of avifauna in each airport.2.3 species had been listed as the national first grade wildlife of China for protection, and 33 as the second grade.3. There were 90 species of Palaearctic type,43 species of Holarctic type,35 species of Northeast type,17 specis of Central Asian type,10 specis of Oriental type, 9 species of Mediterranean-Central Asian type,8 species of Global temperate-tropical type,6 species of Northeast-North-China type,3 species of Tableland type,3 specis of Temperate-tropical type in Eastern Hemisphere,2 species of Monsoon type, and 1 species of Himalaya mountain rang type. The Northern type species played the most important roles in each airport, which reflected the obviously character of Palearctic realm. 4. The paper compared the avifauna of every airport and its surrounding areas with each other airport, to analyze the differences between each two of them. The results illustrated that the index of similarity on avifauna between Chifeng civil aviation airport and Tongliao civil aviation airport was maximum, to be 56.05%, and the two airports shared 44 species of birds, while the index between Hohhot civil aviation airport and Hailar civil aviation airport was minimum, to be 33.80%, and they only shared 36 species of birds.5. According to the importance value of each bird, and characters of gathering, flying height and so on, birds were divided into 4 dangerous levels in each airport, which were the seriously dangerous level, the very dangerous level, the comparatively dangerous and the normally dangerous level. There were 5 species of birds appeared in all 8 airports and belonging to upper level, most of which were residents.6. The paper also discussed the threat to the flying coming from the migration of birds, pointed out the respective potential safety hazard according to the practical situation of each airport, and proposed corresponding preventive measures for birdstrike. |
