With the rapidly development of economic, the expantion of urbanization, and the improvement of the consumer's living level, the disposal and pollution of China's urban garbage has became an important issue of environmental protection. Because of lacking of scientific management and rational disposal for a long time, there are hundreds of garbage pollution accidents. An unqualified landfill is a large renewable sources of pollution, the pollution duration can be several decades or even centuries. Once the groundwater sources and the surrounding soil has been polluted. People would like to use artificial means to implement in the purification.It will be very difficult technically, and the costs are extremely expensive.The overall design of sanitary landfill is a very complex issue with many related factors to the impact. It is only through detailed and careful investigation, analysis, access to first-hand information, combined with engineering practice and the corresponding economic conditions. There would be a reasonable design. For the economic ability ,we can not enact the same standards and requirement as American and European countries in the beginning, including the perfect design of sanitary landfill. However, within our reach, if the fully consider the impact of landfill factors and strengthen the security of the landfill , it can effectively improve the standards of sanitary landfill design .Of course,this is our main objective.It should be under the guidance of urban comprehensive planning to dispose the urban living garbage in urban environmental management.What's more, to ensure that construction doesn't adversely affect the environment,site and treatment process should be selected reasonably. Combined with a design of a plain garbage landfill,the paper describes several technical problems in the aim of the design of sanitary landfill, the site selection of landfill ,the determination of technical size , impervious design, leachate treatment and the closure and ecological rehabilitation in the market in detail. Fully considering the factors of the landfill impact and strengthening the security of landfill sites in target , we can effectively improve the health standards of landfill design.Through the design of the plain garbage landfill, it give us a comprehensive understanding of the advanced sanitary landfill technology and the level of sanitary landfill technology applications development.Simultaneously ,it has laid a profound foundation for the promotion of the sanitary landfill technology.
