In today's world, energy-saving has become an important research topic. As a main user of energy consumption, the power plant has a large number of circulating water heat which is not used effectively and wasted seriously. So, how to use recycled water heat is an important task on energy-saving for power plants.In the paper, three kinds of using programs are put forward for much circulating water heat in the power plant, including the program of water source heat pump, natural draft cooling tower with flue gas injection and low-vacuum operation of the steam turbine. The work principle of three programs is introduced separately, and then compared with traditional condensing steam turbine units, the economic and environmental benefits of them are also analyzed through the engineering examples. Then, the technology and economy of three programs is compared by using the dynamic recovery period of engineering investment. Through the study of the paper, the basis of the utilization method of circulating water heat is provided for power plants.
