| The lack of resources along with the severe pollution towards the environment has become a growing concern in our daily lives. On the other hand, the focus on energy conservation and raising the awareness of planting greens has also become one of social's development most critical issues. Currently, constructing sites consume up to 40% of the world's energy and resources. Hence, when designing, architects should be aware of the construction site's energy saving issue to better the environment. Dalian has implemented 65% of residential energy efficiency standards.As we live in a common ecosystem, natural ventilation is seen as one of worlds most energy-saving and eco friendly act that once again caught architects' attentions. Natural ventilation is certainly eco friendly, but it is also important for architects to ensure a safe design against strong wind blows. Since Dalian is known for its strong fronts of winds, it is necessary for constructing and designing an adequate design for the "wind environment".As mentioned in the first part of this paper, the theories of natural ventilation as well as its usage by society is introduced along with its cultural background information. The second part discusses about natural ventilation's wind analysis and conclusion to its usage. The third suggests another analysis of the application of natural ventilation domestic and foreign-in public buildings and in residential areas, verifying the designs and techniques that are applied, as well as bringing a final conclusion to it. The fourth and fifth parts are the centers of this paper's main idea-using the combination of theory and the amounts of usage to synthesize a new research. According the Dalian's topography as well as its climate, a synopsis of its residential areas' designs is made-meant for the analysis of its advantages and disadvantages. Part five precisely talks about its planning, construction monomer, detailed designs, assisted ventilation equipments and other aspects of the environment that can help contribute to optimize indoor "wind design".To wrap up, this proposal/paper is intended to introduce "wind designs" strategies along with giving ample feedbacks and conclusions to better Dalian's living environment.In this paper, a collection of home in Dalian as the research object, use the combination of theory and practice research methods, collection of residential natural ventilation on a preliminary study. |
