As a clean and regenerative energy, photovoltaic power generation is developing quickly nowadays. The research on photovoltaic power generation is becoming more deeply. However, it is difficult to take the experimental research of photovoltaic power generation due to the limit of nature environments and site conditions. To solve this problem, this paper uses advanced real-time simulation software and hardware to build the real-time simulation models, and analyzes the single-level photovoltaic power generation system.The development of photovoltaic power at home and abroad is outlined at first. Then this paper simply introduces real-time RT-LAB simulation software, and describes the necessity of researching the real-time simulation of photovoltaic power generation system. After that, this thesis briefly describes the control principle of photovoltaic simulator and sets up the mathematical model of PV simulator. The frequency response method is used to derive the controller parameters of the solar simulator. The simulations and experimental results verify the model is rationality.Thirdly, this paper using RT-LAB simulation platform combines with DSP and hardware establishes the Hardware in Loop Simulation Model and the Rapid Control Prototyping Model. The experimental results are compared with those of MATLAB simulation. The experimental results indicate that the characteristics of PV array simulator are agreeable with the realâ… -â…¤output curve of solar array and the simulator can simulate the dynamic transformation when the load is changed.At last, this paper presents a single-stage grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) system, using the photovoltaic array simulator instead of the traditional solar photovoltaic cells. The Real-time simulation model based on the RT-LAB software platform has been built. It can overcome the limits of real conditions of the PV experiment in the laboratory. At the same time, it takes the hardware environment into account to fetch up the shortage of all-digital simulation platform. It provides a good simulation platform for the high-power in a real or near real-environment for the laboratory photovoltaic research.
