The railway marshalling station which is an essential component of the railway-net is a significant-transportation organization work and production base on railway transportation system. The essence of the research on marshalling station mainly exists in the investigation of the relationship of arrival wagon-flow as well as departure wagon-flow, which is also called wagon-flow allocation. Specifically, firstly, what flows comprise each departure trains; secondly, what the best sequence of sorting and formation, the purpose is to make the freight wagon stop shortest at the station. If these concerns cannot be solved effectively, the great influence will be made to the normal operation of the railway hub, which will result in problem such as traffic staying within the marshalling yard for too long time and the increase of operating expenses of the entire hub. The operation of marshalling station is complicated, the optimization of stage plan involves the using of arrival-departure track and shunting locomotives, which simply considering only the sorting or formation can not achieve the desired effect of wagon-flow allocation. Thus, coordination of train sorting and formation schemes in the marshalling station is the key of wagon-flow allocating optimization in the stage plan. On the basic of the existing researches, this thesis studied train sorting and formation schemes for the purpose of get a better stage plan.The main studying works are as follows:At first, considering some uncertain factors of operating process, such as the sorting time and formation time of trains, this thesis puts forward a stochastic chance-constrained programming model of train sorting and formation schemes and the hierarchical heuristic algorithm to solve the model.Secondly, based on the data of Guiyang South Marshalling Station, this thesis analyses the probability distribution of the arrival time, sorting time and the formation time of the trains.At last, this thesis imposes an example based the data of the Guiyang South Marshalling Station to examine the researches mentioned above, and then analyses the impact of train arrival time interval, sorting time and train formation time to the train sorting and formation schemes.
