Landscape Design Of Urban Roads Based On Visual Characteristic

The paper aims at landscape problem which exists in urban roads construction in our country, takes the visual characteristic in urban roads as breakthrough point, the study mainly include the importance of urban roads landscape, the external factors which influence urban roads, how place the elements of urban roads landscape based on visual characteristic. The paper hopes to figure out the design ideas of urban roads landscape based on visual characteristic. Firstly the conception and the characteristic of urban roads and the design principles of urban roads landscape are explained, which is the basic of the following studies.Secondly, the external factors and the elements of urban roads landscape are distinguished. The urban road is an organic whole, the landscape designer should notice the effect of urban road's external factors, and also emphasize the coordination among the elements of the urban road, make the external factors the elements into a whole,and minimize the road's invention in natural environment, show the characters of the city.The road user's visual characteristic in the modern traffic condition is the key of the paper. The urban roads landscape design should be suitable to traffic function and road user's need, the design methods about spaces, sizes, colours, details are different in the traffic roads and the life roads.At last, a case about E Bo road landscape design is described, in order to illustrate the design steps of urban roads.
