| With the continuous development of the city and improvement of people’s living standards, the number of the car ownership has been rising rapidly in the city.But the carrying capacity of existing roads is limited and the pace of expansion of urban roads is far behind the growth rate of the car. All mentioned above result in urban traffic congestion traffic chaos, pollution and other problems.How to alleviate this contradiction is becoming urgent. With the advancement of computer technology and deep study of the urban road traffic system,urban traffic management and traffic flow monitoring haves been simulated with computer technology.This can be meaningful in several ways.Monitoring traffic flow guiding possibilities on existing roads to assessing future transportation planning program reasonably. and presenting scientific planning measures are all on the list. Thus traffic situation is improved and the waste of human and financial resources can be avoided.This article is to provide a road network underlying model for developing urban road simulation system. Based on the analysis and research for the urban road system model, a new way as well as a theoretical basis is provided as visual description and simulation.Firstly, referred to the development of road traffic simulation system at home and abroad,the existing road structure and models are analyzed.Then discussion and research are made separately from both geometry and logical structure of the roads Propose suitable geometric model and data structure model for road visual simulation.According to the theory of linear roads,the road geometric model is to treat roads as a combination of multiple linear.Intersection coordinates are defined to guide path towards according to linear equations. Data structure model includes lane models and composite node models. The composite node model is proposed for road intersections to reflect the lane running track at the intersection.Finally, it is tested that the connection of road models and composite node models can work together to complete the logical structure description of many road networks.Searching and management for vehicle path in the road network are realized by using of Visual Studio2008to program for SQL Server2008database.Visual simulation model presented in this paper provides a theoretical reference for the modern urban road simulation system. |
