Since the US "9.11" event,engineering circles have begun to consider the fire-resistant of construction material.Particularly steel,the main force material,would present a softened phenomenon under the high temperature,then its bearing capacity will obviously reduce.How to ensure the strengh of steel in the fire not decreased significantly have been paid large attention by engineering circles.According to the general requirements for consteuction steel,the paper has set performance indicators to fire-resistant steel.Propose performance requirements for fire-resistant steel,make a research on marerials behavior of ordinary steel and fireproof steel under high temperature through experiments,analyze the differences between these two materials. Compare material properties of steel under a high temperature to fire-resistant steel and take a temperature analysis.This paper reveals the mechanism of fire-resistant steel and studies on the main factors which impact strength of fire-resistant steel under high temperature.On the basis of fire resistance test of fireproof steel girder, fire-resistant mechanism and the parameter variation to the steel girder fire-resistant critical temperature along with the whole stability coeffcicent influence have been researched.
