This issue subordinates to the doctoral subject"the dot matrix digital detection theory and the trough body inteligence folwmeter's research". The power supply system of the flow meter is mainly studied, in order to achieve low-power, self-powered, portable, universal of the meter.Self-powered is a way of energy self-sufficient supplement for the flow meter and data acquisition, processing, transmitter system, including the energy acquisition and the control of the power supply. In order to achieve the self-powered of the overall system, first of all,it requires the system with low power consumption,determining the minimum energy compensation of the operating equipment.The flowmeter provides entry points to the optimized design for low power about the circuits of data acquisition, processing and communication which makes it work in the microampere magnitudein in the state of sleeping, to increase power only when in data reporting, and communication within a very short time. The average power consumption of flow meters all day is very little, reaching the effects of low-power micro-complement. At the same time, a major study on the power suppy and the control system of power supply is made. The main work of this paper is as follows: (1) In accordance with the principle of conservation of energy,the relationship of supplemental energy between the energy consumption and power supply is calculated. According to the amount of energy consumption, a solar cell, the capacity and type of battery are determined to realize the system's energy compensation.(2) The basic characteristics experiment of solar cell is studied. It includes dark features of solar cells, the impact of light intensity to the output power, voltage and current and the output characteristics experiment which provides experimental evidence for the optimal control of solar cells.(3) The software algorithm is designed that uses the incremental conductance method tracking the maximum power of solar cell from the best energy utilization. According to the features of battery charging in the solar system, the battery charging is controlled in sections, and the software design for battery temperature compensation is made.(4) In accordance with the basic characteristics of solar cells and batteries, battery charging circuit, voltage detection circuit and the output voltage regulation circuit are designed. It breaks the traditional design method of solar cells output higher than battery voltage, which realizes the design of charging voltage using LT1111 DC step-up circuit rising 9V to 13.5V, and reduces the demand of solar cells capacity.(5) The hardware circuit designed is simulated, verificating the results of hardware design. Through simulation, the circuit reaches the design requirements.By a large number of experiments in this paper, the technical indicators have reached the final design requirements, which realizes the self-powered and the optimal control to the channel flow meter and solutes problems of meter being unable to work in the field because of power.
