In recent years,CFST arch bridge has been widely applied due to its elegant appearance and the reasonable structure, such as the light weight, the high capacity, the strong spanning ability and the good seismic behavior. The cable erection and strayed knotting method is the first choice to the construction of CFST arch bridge.Because it could be better adapt to the factory manufacturing and the construction technology of assembling on site. It is also easy to cross valleys, rivers and speed up the construction period. The whole structure was the suspension system before the completely shut of arch rib. The safety control is very important. Therefore the research on the control of the construction safety of CFST arch bridge which is constructed in the way of the cable erection and strayed knotting has great engineering value and theoretical significance.This paper summarizes the main controlling factors which are related to the safety of CFST bridge construction and focused on the construction safety control method of the cableway erection and strayed knotting which is applied to the construction of CFST arch bridge. The analysis of construction safety control of CFST arch is mainly from the three aspects which are geometric linear, internal force and the stability of structure. The construction safety control of hoisting system is mainly studied in the paper. Such as the strength and the stability control of tower in every construction stage, cable force safe control of the main cable,the hoisting cable and the buckle cable force , and providing experimental evidence by the test hanging of hoisting system for the official hoist .In addition, to further protect the safety of the structure construction, geometric alignment, the stability of arch rib in the arch's construction phase and structural stress in the perfusion stage of arch rib concrete are controlled.In the paper, Huaxi N0.1 Bridge is taken as an example, which is a half-through CFST arch bridge with a main span of 175m. And the method to solve the problem which is related to the construction safety is proposed .Ensure the safety of the construction and playing an important supporting role for the smooth completion of the bridge. Consider the bridge's engineering characteristics, which crane tower and cable tower are united into one, without any horizontal ties and buckle cable with wire rope and others, we proposed targeted safety control program. What is analyzing and improving the safety of the hoisting system and tracing monitoring the tower, buckle cable and arch rib in the process of hoisting construction. It proved that the safety control of cableway erection and the arch rib construction of Huaxi N0.1 Bridge is reasonable.
