With the rapid development of national economy and large demand of communication construction,the number of bridges increase quickly over the mountainous river with the feutures of curved,stenosis,big gradient ratio and rapid velocity.It caused new proplem for the navigation safety,such as bridge group,which including more than two bridges be built in the short distance and the double line bridge near the old bridge when it reconstructed.The influence of this project on the navigation condition is apparent,it added the difficulty of ship sailing and bring large damage to the state property and the people's safety.When the river conditions and bridge span schemes are different,the request for the distance change correspondingly,but the navigation standard of inland waterway which only ask for the distance between two bridge but not put forward rules of site selection in the bridge constructing didn't classificate to this conditions.It is necessary to study the navigation conditions,site selection and layout scheme for bridge group.This paper which simulated and analyzed the flow condition and ship sailing feature during the period of the bridge rebuilding by using physical model and ship model,makes an comparative study and brings the suitable layout scheme of the bridge distance and bridge span while new bridges are building in caiyuanba bridge group reach.It has some degree of guiding significance for location and layout of bridge.
