The combined building with light-gauge steel and lightweight aggregate concrete developed in china is a new member of the combined structure,having many advantages such as small effect of earthquake, light weight, according policy of developing green and energy saving architecture by nation and easy construction.As developed for several years, light-gauge steel system is applied for civil and industrial architecture such as villa, school, exhibition hall, dining-room and factory building,obtaining good economic and social returns.Taking the combined wall with light-gauge steel and lightweight aggregate concrete as the research object, this thesis analyse the lateral performance by finite element software called ABAQUS for instructing engineering application and design, considering material nonlinearity and geometric nonlinearity.The research work in this thesis is as follows:(1) The trussed beam,wall, floor and connecter of the combined structure with light-gauge steel and lightweight aggregate concrete is introduced as well as advantages.(2) Based on the references, the adaptive parameters of the damaged plasticity model for lightweight aggregate concrete is obtained and rationality is proofed by example simulation for providing the basic of research on lateral performance of the combined wall with light-gauge steel and lightweight aggregate concrete.(3) Finite element model of the combined wall with light-gauge steel and lightweight aggregate concrete is built, and load-displacement curve, limit load and displacement,distribution of mises stress and displacement and pattern of damage as well as crack propagation are obtained.(4) The lateral performance of the light—gauge steel composite walls with the ALC board and OSB board is Analysed,which is compared with the combined wall with light-gauge steel and lightweight aggregate concrete,showing the distinction of different wall on the limit load,displacement and failure modal.(5) The influence on the lateral performance is discussed,which is caused by the intensity of the lightweight aggregate concrete, thickness of rectangular steel tube and space between truss column. As the combined effect of steel frame and lightweight aggregate concrete is considered at the same time, mechanical performance of the combined wall with light-gauge steel and lightweight aggregate concrete is complex.The result of research in this thesis is provided as a reference for the later further research,design and the compilation of standard.
