Now more and more scientists are researching on electromagnetic shielding materials, they also made some progress. But most of these materials are made of Continuous distribution. This type of shields can also absorb certain Electromagnetic waves in certain Frequency range. The periodic structures associated with this artical are some Array of the conductive, magnetic matels or Non-metallic substances in the form of symmetrical. These cycles of structures can save lots of metals or powder and they can strongly absorb and attenuate certain electromagnetic waves with wide frequency range. Combined with cycle unit cells' array of features, we can Explore the absorbing properties of the cycle materials by changing the unit cells'distance, structure and shape, size and the material's layers. In this paper, we choiced and designed the electromagnetic shielding material, and explore its absorbing properties by experiments. Specific tasks are as follows:1. According to the relevant theoretical knowledge of the electromagnetic shielding, we reasonablly selected some metals and non-metallic materials as the studying objects. And then nalysised and Calculated the Cycle materials'related peramaters and Scattering parameter.2. Then we established periodic structure model by processing plexiglass as carrier, using free-space method, next we tested the media models with the scattering Experiments. And we set the electromagnetic wave frequency from 3 to 18GHz.3. Comparative Analysis reflection and transmission experiments, and study these materials'scattering features. In matial area we chose steel ball and copper line and studied these materials'absorbing wave properties. In non-matial area, we chose Carbon nanotubes, nano-iron, iron oxide and titanium dioxide for the study.4. Summarizing the results of the analysis, on this basis of these studying conclutions, then we can find better materials or better Structure type for the application of radar absorbing materials.In this paper, this article got some valuable conclusions through theoretical analysis and experimental researches. Such as the cycle materials combined Metal copper with steel ball can obstacle and absorb electromagnetic waves in some wide frequency range. Then, some nano-powder materials have no effection on the transmission wave, but they can strongly absorb the reflected wave; the layers, cell spacing, cell size of the cycle shields can affect the shielding effectiveness. All of above conlutions of scattering properties can provide some guidance to practical engineering application.
