The turbo generator inner turn short-circuit of rotor windings is a common fault. With the development of economic, large capacity generator is more and more appears in electric power system. The reliability of generator is more and more important, so it is necessary to research the inner turn short-circuit of rotor windings. This paper describes the principle of inner turn short-circuit of rotor windings and introduces the a variety of fault features. On this paper based on multi-loop theory build the model of turbo generator inner turn short-circuit of rotor windings, the simulation to the SDF-9 and MJF-30-6 fault simulation experiment unit about the inner turn short-circuit of rotor windings has been carried on and the current and the voltage difference has been calculated quantitatively, and the experimental result coincides with the calculated result.The basis for the inter turn short-circuit of rotor windings has been provided.
