In order to solve the problem of water shortage in power industry, municipal reclaimed water reusing to circulating cooling water of power plant has become a trend. Reclaimed water reusing needs more stringent water quality requirements stabilized to achieve the circulating cooling water quality standard. To prevent scale formation and corrosion of material, adding conformable scale and corrosion inhibitor and sterilization according to water quality, equipment and working condition of circulating cooling water system is an effective method. Static scale prevention test, sample-revolved corrosion test, dynamic imitating test and sterilization test were carried out by adding four kinds of water treatment medicaments respectively to the supplementary water (municipal reclaimed water in Tanshan) of circulating cooling water system in Tanshan Power Plant 2×300MW unit. According to the test results the best medicament had been screened out to ensure the circulating cooling water system safe and economical.
