Modern Urban Landscape Research Based On Regional Characteristics

With the development of economy and society, urbanization and the constuction of cities have made great progress. Quiet a few small towns have developed into big metropolises. However, the great progress of urban construction can't stand for the favorable development of urban landscape. Many developments of urban landscape get caught up into formalism and slavish imitation, and pursue nothing but foreign landscapes, copying landscapes.At the same time, they abandon traditional national culture, lose their own valuable individualities and cause the convergence of urban landscape.The modern urban landscape development should pay great attention to combining the modern idea with this nationality's region culture, to ecological sustainable landscape practice and human-based landscape application. The urban landscape is formed in the unceasing development of cities. The formation of the urban landscape features is the accumulation of urban historical and cultural traditions. The cities with distinctive features have a profound historical accumulation, mature urban culture, as well as long-standing urban tradition. Therefore personalities of cities will be more intense, the grades of the urban landscape will be higher, the identifiabilities of cities will be more obvious.This paper sums up experience and lessons of urban landscape design, analysises designable features of urban landscape systematically by studying the domestic and international successful examples, to enrich the theory and to promote regional characteristics in the urban landscape practice. This paper puts forth efforts on exploring the designal ideas and expressions of regional characteristics of the city of Jinan, by analyzing and integrating the geographical features of urban landscape in Jinan, learning the valuable experience of other cities. Study object of this paper is urban landscape of regional characteristics, and the main categories is the representive and regional natural landscape and cultural landscape that relates urban ecological environment quality, inhabitant leisure life and urban image in built-up urban areas. In the research of the urban landscape design, the main method is summary.I work hard in related concepts progressively, sum up the basic features and explore the law of development, so that I put forward the urban landscape design and analysis, laying a foundation for further research.
