Recently, the destruction of underground structures involving thermal mechanical coupling has became a outstanding issue in the project, such as the heat pipe and liquid-filled tanks burst, casing of the hot wells damage and so on. With the development of the computer technology and numerical methods, thermal-mechanical coupling has became one of the focus of the research.Theories and methods of the thermal-mechanical coupling have been analyzed, for example, heat conduction equation and constitutive equation, finite element analysis of temperature field theory, thermo-mechanical coupling analysis methods. Then the finite element software ADINA is applied to set up the calculation model under the thermal-mechanical coupled. With specific examples, two methods of ADINA ( Native and Parasolid ) are applied to set up a finite element model, with the help of Boolean Operators realizing geometric integration between casing, cement sheath and ground. When setting up the casing and cement sheath model, native is adopted, while for the ground model, parasolid is applied. The time-curve changes of the casing are analyzed, including displacement, axial stress, axial strain, circumferential stress, circumferential strain, effective stress, maximum shear stress by the gravity, stratum dislocation, pressure and temperature. Conclusions are get by analyzing the variety of effect curve under the thermo-mechanical. They are as follows: thermo-mechanical is very obvious to the casing, and the corresponding methods should be adopted. When choosing the material of casing and cement sheath, the larger elasticity modulus of material should be chosen; the initial deformation in the opposite direction of casing should be imposed to resist the thermal-mechanical coupled effect.
