Wind power is being developed to ease the energy supply situation in our country, which promotes the monitoring technology of wind power quality to become a hot topic in power system. With the vigorous development of economy in our country,all kinds of large power equipment are used in various fields and everyday life, which causes continuous growth of nonlinear load, impact load and time-varying load capacity. This situation makes the power quality problems more prominent. This paper is a research of power quality monitoring system for wind farm based on the summary and draw of study home and abroad.According to national standards of power quality, not only the definition and classification of power quality problem is overviewed, but also the measurement principle and calculation method are summarized for all power quality indicators.In order to meet the requirements of real-time, high-speed, continuity and accuracy in power quality monitoring, a system of power quality monitoring program is presented in this paper based on ARM and DSP.First, using DSP as a data processor for analog signal acquisition and data processing and sending power quality analysis of data to the ARM. Second, using ARM for communications and data storage to control the operation of the entire system, which make full use of high-speed digital signal processor DSP and ARM embedded processor system. At last, analog data acquisition circuit, communication between the ARM and DSP, the expansion of memory and other hardware are designed, and the communication between them is finished, which has the functions of data acquisition, data processing and wavelet noise canceling. Besides, the algorithm for power quality analysis is studied based on Fourier transform (FFT) and wavelet transform, and the simulation results show the feasibility of the design and algorithm accuracy.
