Generally, small Energy-saving Alternator in the light load or unloaded, by reducing speed to save energy, the output voltage and frequency reduced. To ensure the stabile output voltage and frequency, the AC-DC-AC conversion is used in the Energy-saving Alternator.This paper focuses on FPGA-based small-scale Energy-saving Alternator control system for stabile output voltage and frequency. The working process is after the single-phase AC of Alternator output is rectified for DC,the DC voltage is boost to 400V from around 220V by the Boost chopper,and then the DC is changed to AC by the DC-AC inverter,the output AC voltage is 220V and frequency is 50Hz..The paper is working on the follows:boost for the chopper circuit, DC-AC inverter circuit, the controller circuit based on FPGA , fuzzy control strategy, SPWM wave generating, and the principle of analysis, modeling, simulation and engineering design.In the paper,the boost chopper circuit and the DC-AC inverter circuit with full-bridge is used,based on the principle of the circuits giving the calculating of indicators and parameters and designed in the SIMULINK.Using the Large-scale programmable logic device FPGA as the controller,Xilinx Spartan-3 series FPGA XC3S400-4PQ208C chip is selected to design the schematic and PCB for the control system. The control system hardware is working very well after welding and debugging,which using general I / O interface can be ported to any circuit. The sine wave, triangle wave, and SPWM wave signal are designed using VHDL, and simulated and analyzed based on Modelsim.FPGA-based small-scale Energy-saving Alternator control system for stabile output voltage and frequency in the paper has high control precision, small size, structure and function of clear, secondary development, etc. It has certain application and engineering design reference.
