The Electronic Controlled Automotive Mechanical Transmission (AMT) has obvious advantage in specified field with technology and bright future development. The research is focused on the study on selecting and shifting system. Based on current AMT system style: Hydraulic actuated AMT, or Motor attached AMT system, a new AMT actuation is promoted as "Remote Cable control AMT" system. Study of control theory and also practice validation are carried out for the possibility of the routine. The purpose is to identify the possible issues in the system design and also find out possible solutions to the issues. In this paper, the main researches contain:1).Analysis and compare system design of different kinds of AMT, proposal for routine of the remote control system.2).Build up vehicle longitude dynamic model with actuator characteristics of gear shift and select system. After that, off-line simulation is operated in computers.3).According to cable system's slow response issue, compare the PID method and Bang-Bang optimal time control method, optimizing the system close-loop control algorithm.4).Realize the remote system in the practical car and validate the technical solutions based on vehicle real time data. The main achievements of the thesis: 1) Achieved validation on remote control AMT system in theory and practice. The study results can be referred and helpful in further research. 2) Successfully using Bang-Bang optimal time control method into cable select and shift system for closed-loop control. The system response and stability are greatly improved.
