Pressure-dispersive anchor cable is the latest technology in the field of anchorage used in rock and soil. Because of the advantage of this cable's structure, the anchoring force could be dispersed to rock of different depth, and the strength of wider rock would be used. Since each anchorage unit has the properties as the same with pressure type anchor cable, the bigger anchoring force can be reached so that this type of cable would be suitable for the constructions with high slope or deep excavation. A great number of geotechnical engineering has been applied with this cable. To provide the principal of application, with guidance of scores of researches on the transmission of load and the rules of stress distributing in the anchorage section, this paper study the anchored effect by combined action of cable and rock. The main works carried out by usage of numerical modeling are as follows.(1) To study the anchored effect of pressure-dispersive anchor cable on rock, with knowing well in the transmission of load and the rules of stress distributing in the anchorage section by consulting plenty of relative documents, a modeling method with FLAC 3D has been found. The results of modeling computation are compared with two kinds of normal theoretical solutions so that the reliable of this modeling method is proved.(2) Several rock models reinforced by pressure-dispersive anchor cables are built to study the effects of anchor groups of this type of cable. By contrasting of different cables'numbers, separating distances, length and properties of rock in models, the rules of effects of anchor groups will be found to direct the design proposal of engineering reinforced by anchor groups. And the way to avoid the rock cracks by tension of anchor groups which could be developed to potential sliding surface is discussed.(3) Usually, each anchorage units in the pressure-dispersive anchor cables received the same anchoring force. This could not adjust the situation of rock with nonuniform properties. To improve the structural proposals which could be suitable for the rock, the models consisted of soft and hard rock will be built to compute. At the same time, the ratio of steels'number that linked with different bearing boards is changed to see the effect under stepped loading. Then the laws will be used to give some suggestions of structural design.This paper will provide some constructive criticisms for more efficient and safer engineering application of pressure-dispersive anchor cable. It can also have some valuable reference for standardization of design method of this cable.
