Wind (energy) resource assessment is the basis for development of wind power project and the important content of wind farm feasibility study and wind turbine design and type selection. However, the wind turbine design is largely dependent on the wind turbine aerodynamic performance. Focused on these issues, the thesis amended a current parametric estimation method of wind speed Weibull distribution. Meanwhile, according to wind speed characteristics, the wind resource evaluation is enriched and consummated from the perspective of wind prediction. Based on detailed investigation of horizontal wind turbine aerodynamic related theories, the thesis established the aerodynamic analysis model, and developed aerodynamic parameter calculation software. The main research contents are as follows :â‘ Investigated the wind speed characteristics and statistical properties; From the point of wind farm wind speed measurement, analyzed the shortages of the wind speed distribution assessment; and on the basis of measured wind speed and altitude of the wind farm sitting survey, proposed a amended average wind speed - maximum speed algorithm via appropriate use of meteorological statistics; And verified and explained it by using the actual data; Furthermore, calculated the annual wind power density and available hours of wind energy on this basis and realized the wind energy resource assessment.â‘¡According to the features of wind speed time series and autocorrelation, established the wind speed prediction model based on time series analysis, and then achieve short-term wind speed forecast; Using a wind speed data with 10min sample interval, verified the feasibility of wind speed forecast by the comparison of the predicted and measured wind speed.â‘¢Studied the momentum theory, blade element theory, blade element momentum theory and the amended blade element momentum theory of horizontal axis wind turbine; Taking accounting of the wind conditions which the wind turbine may encounter during operation, analyzed two normal wind conditions (NWP, NTM) and six extreme wind conditions(EWM,EOG,EDC,ECG,ECD,EWS); Furthermore, with VC + +. NET as a tool, developed the wind turbine aerodynamic analysis platform which includes the wind conditions analysis and the wind energy characteristics analysis; and taking a certain MW wind turbine as an example, explained the software analysis process and verified the results.
