According to the poor high-temperature and fatigue performance of common asphalt concrete,it is difficult to meet with the increasing traffic flow, heavy-load vehicles and over loading trucks of the high grade highway. Furthermore, due to the "greenhouse effect",the global temperatures continue to rise these years,which brings to us more severe challenges, therefore, the research of the improvement on bearing capability and the high temperature performance have more reality significance to develop new pavement materials and new techniques of our country.For the moment,adding anti-rut agent is one of the most new and effective methods to solve the above-mentioned problems,compared to common asphalt concrete or modified asphalt concrete,it possesses more excellent features.This paper selects four anti-rut agents PR,A,B,C(chief ingredient HDPE)and explored the mechanism of them in the asphalt pavement.At the same time, the article also did research on the variation law of Marshall results,the primate performance of the pavement.At last,this paper definites the key construction technology by the field PR paving and analyzes the economic efficiency of the PR pavement.Lab experiment results show that:At optimal asphalt content,0.5% of aggregate weight anti-rut agent can obviously enhance the high temperature stability of the common AC-16 asphalt. meanwhile, it can enhance other performances such as the low temperature performance and the water-stability,etc.The results of wheel tracking test and the high temperature longitudinal shearing show they have fine linear correlation.The field PR paving of ZhaoDai expressway project in YunNan province show that: When used 0.45% anti-rut agent of aggregate weight,it can improve the anti-rut performance of AC-13 top layer asphalt concrete to 9000cycles/mm. retained marshall stability reaches to 90.9%,TSR reaches to 81.0%.PR can improve various pavement performance and greatly decrease the project cost.
