Bus rapid transit (BRT) ,as a new model of municipal public transportation, is an effective way to solve city traffic problems. It has characteristics of lower investment, shorter construction period, and easier to take effect.BRT highway is mostly accommodation lane as complete channelized traffic.Because of relatively concentrated wheel load, pavement structure of BRT is significantly different of ordinary urban highway in the bearing mode, and bears great shear force, which requires that pavement structure and materials have high shear strength. In view of anti-rutting additive agent, cement slurry-filling and Japan epoxy asphalt mixture, the paper evaluates the anti-shearing charactisties of different asphalt mixtures through rutting test, penetration shear test and direct shear test, and recommend a reasonable cost-effective asphalt mixture as traffic lane of BRT.The paper sleets SBR modified emulsion asphalt,SBS modified asphalt and Japan epoxy binder as adhesive layer by using of direct shear test and pullout test, to recommend adhesive layer materials for different conditions.According to the climatic characteristics of our courtry and research results on the shear performance, the paper recommends typical pavement structures.Furthermore, based on mechanical analysis and test research, the paper puts forward parameters control indexes of pavement materials design in order to offer the reference for related projects. At last, the paper utilizes typical pavement structures and study on the construction technique and quality control measures based on Xia Men BRT Project.
