With the extensive use of freeway tunnels, contradictions between tunnel lighting levels and energy-saving lighting has become increasingly acute. Security, economy, environmental protection, energy conservation are essential goals pursued by the current road construction, especially in the freeway tunnel management. The high cost of road tunnel lighting and high operating costs are the constraints of the development of tunnel, and also becoming technical difficulties as well. Therefore , it has practical significance to carry out the technology research on highway tunnel lighting.Aim at the features and difficulties of freeway tunnel lighting, the paper research thoroughly discusses the analysis of these common problems and finally put forward some realistic solutions in the following parts:1. By contrasting and analyzing the luminous efficiency, life cycle, color rendering index and color temperature of several light sources used commonly, and by studying the source of illumination, color temperature and the relationship between color and maintenance analysis, a conclusion is arrived at on the relationship between the source selection and the actual results of tunnel lighting.2. Research on the effects of auxiliary traffic guidance measures in various light conditions and the adaptability of tunnel lighting with different auxiliary traffic guidance measures. The major research is on the applicable conditions, scope, reasonable layout of LED induction lamps under several tunnel conditions. And how they work with lighting in a long tunnel, and save energy under the premise of traffic safety.3. Research on the method of controlling energy saving of tunnel lighting. Analyze two tunnel lighting scheme for the dynamic dimming based on LED lamps and based on high intensity discharge lamp. And finally analyze the new energy-saving lighting system relying on Dahuashan tunnel.From a series of Analysis above, the complete solutions of integrated energy-saving lighting system for a tunnel are provided in this article. And the outcome of analyzing several integrated lighting program under a full live cycle is represented in the paper research as well. It also provides an effective way to address highway tunnel lighting for reference, being of certain potential market value.
