As a part of Intelligent Traffic System, the main function of Intelligent Parking Management System is to improve and reduce urban traffic congestion from static traffic system. With the increasing contradiction between difficult parking and lower utilization of parking space, this assay put forward views that efficient parking space guidance system and method to predict the available parking space in order to well improve urban dynamic traffic from static traffic system based on the analysis on the demand of Intelligent Parking Management System, characteristics of parking and variant of available parking space.Comprehend trends of abroad and home Parking Management System. Together with the demand of domestic parking management and parking characteristics, propose advanced designing program of this system. And then make deeply research on parking space guidance system and short-term prediction of available parking space. Define the demand, composition, strategy on delivering information and guidance process of parking space guidance system depending on parking activity. In order to realize efficient guidance, optimize Dijkstra shortest path algorithm with the method of orthogonal list in Data Structure and apply it in this system with optimization theory based on building parking space net. And then develop a simulation demo system of parking space guidance with Visual C++ and database technology. Analysis and research on the historical data of parking lot, and find the variant of available parking space. Make a deeply research on applicability of GM(1,1) and Markov model and reference to the method of predicting short-term traffic flow. Propose the method to predict short-term available parking space based on Gray-Markov model. And then test the precision of this model by concrete example with the application of Excel in prediction.
