The semi-rigid connection which was between rigid connection and hinge connection had both moment transfer and rotation ability. The existence of the semi-rigid connection had directly influence on the mechanical behaviors of the steel frame under loading. The behaviors of semi-rigid connections would make great effects on the behaviors of steel frames, such as the internal forces, the horizontal deflection, the ultimate load-bearing capacity and the dynamic behaviors, which could not be neglected. In this thesis, nonlinear analysis and the pseudo-dynamic testing are used to do research on the behaviors of the semi-rigid steel-braced frame. The nonlinear analysis method includes nonlinear static method and nonlinear dynamic analysis. Nonlinear static method is also named pushover analysis, which can get the strength and deformation when the structure is in nonlinear state, and find out the weakness of the structure. And nonlinear dynamic analysis Because of the precise result, it is exactly the best dependable method for structural seismic nonlinear analysis. This paper has stablished the semi-rigid steel-braced frame computation model, using the linear turn spring and the nonlinear turn spring to imitate the semi-rigid connection, and using two analysis methods: nonlinear static method and nonlinear dynamic analysis. Meanwhile. It has carried on the overall nonlinear analysis of the semi-rigid steel-braced frame construction by the finite element software SAP2000(main material dual misalignments). Two methods have both educed the seismic performance that would appear in the structure on the seismic action, and the seismic performance is compared with the results of the pseudo-dynamic testing to test and verify the soundness of the model of semi-rigid connection and nonlinear analysis, and draw some conclusions.
