Nowadays energy sources has already become a problem that human should solve as soon as possible. It has already become an urgent task for all countries to find new energy sources. As taking a look at the current position, we will find that the sun is one kind of green energy sources we never use up. Cosmically use of the sun energy has become a big symbol for progress of human society in the 21st century.Photovoltaic is a new electricity generating technology, which transfer sunshine into electricity directly.The key energy transferring facility of solar energy photovoltaic is solar cell. Solar cell is so expensive that it is of great sense to using Maximum Power Point Tracking to improve the usage of solar cell in many places.This paper introduces the PV grid-connected system'energy loss, and analysis the maximum power point tracking. First of all, introducing a variety of commonly used maximum power point tracking method; Secondly, the energy loss of various algorithms carried out a detailed theoretical analysis, mainly on the Perturbation and Observation method and Incremental Conductance method'oscillations and Misjudgment; and then describes the maximum power point tracking's efficiency of test methods and attention. Finally, simulating various algorithms, as well as in real environmental situations were tested. Through simulation and actual test to verify the theoretical analysis is correct.
