The current rapid development of society along with the great energy consumption, energy and environmental issues have become increasingly prominent. Developing utilization of clean renewable energy has been imperative. Solar energy is accepted commonly for its advantages such as economical and cleanness. Countries around the world encourage the development of solar energy. After decades of development, photovoltaic(PV) water pumping system has become an important part of solar energy applications. Furthermore, with its tremendous social and economical advantages, PV water pumping system has been getting more and more attention.Asynchronous electromotor is used as driving motor in this paper, the hardware design of the main circuit and control circuit, the component selection and parameter selection are introduced in detail. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and space voltage vector PWM control strategy are studied in this paper. The main content in this paper is:(1) The topology and operating principle of photovoltaic water pumping system are introduced, the way of PV pumping system maximum power point tracking control and its realization analyzed in detail.(2) The power dissipation of IGBT increase with the switching frequency increase, so the efficiency of system is affected. In order to enhance the system efficiency, the SVPWM to reduce switching loss modulate is analyzed in details and applied in the system. A model is set up in Matlab, the waveform is got from simulation, the drive waveform is also got from the hardware circuit. The system efficiency increase for the using of SVPWM to reduce switching loss modulate model.(3) Design the main circuit structure, particularly introduce the calculation and choice of component parameter on main circuit.(4) The digital signal processor 56F8037 of FREESCALE company is the most control chip of the system. Design overcurrent protection, over voltage protection, low voltage protection and automatic protection when the water level on well is low for system.(5) Experiments the system, the experimental results show that the system satisfied the designed needs.
