In resolving the issue of vehicle emissions and energy shortages,the electric vehicle technology is a hotspot in the current study . Of all the electric vehicles contain pure electric vehicle, hybrid electric vehicle and fuel cell electric vehicle,hybrid electric vehicle as a transitional model most likely to achieve commercialization.The hybrid electric vehicle with battery as the main power source of power and ultracapacitor as an auxiliary source of power can fundamentally solve the problem of vehicle emissions and energy shortages,so to study this kind of electric vehicle with battery and ultracapacitor as the source of power is of great significance.This paper studies the working principle and working mode of the hybrid electric vehicle with the energy source of battery and ultracapacitor, selects a reasonable system structure,designs and researches the matching parameter of the main components of the vehicle,establishes the energy transfer model of the vehicle,researches and analyses the control strategy for the hybrid electric vehicle.builds the components model of the vehicle using the software of Matlab/Simulink,including the battery model, ultracapacitor model,motor model and body model.Also builds the whole vehicle model under the condition of the fixed factor control strategy and the fuzzy control strategy.Selects the best one of the fixed control strategy through the comparative analysis of simulation,then comparatively to analyse the simulation results of the fixed factor strategy and the fuzzy control strategy under the Urban driving cycle 6 and the American UDDS driving cycle. The results show that fuzzy control strategy is berrer to enhance the vehicles economy,also fuzzy control stategy has different ecomomic impact for the vehicle under different driving cycles. This paper is of great significance to the work of the early design,such as determining the structure of the system ,performance parameters and control strategy of energy.
