With the rapid economic development of China and the improvement of people's living standards, air-conditioning capacity is being increased year by year, however people's concern over indoor air quality has led to raising of the design standards of outdoor ventilation air flow rate,then it increases energy consumption of air-conditioning system much more. the call for energy efficiency g and emission reduction is on the upsurge , how to achieve energy efficiency of air-conditioning system become a hot topic nowadays . Heat recovery from indoor exhaust air is an important way to achieve energy efficiency of air-conditioning system, and research object is the energy efficiency of HVAC system with air to air energy recovery in Hot Summer Cold Winter Zone .This paper is on the basis of meteorological data of typical year in two representative city Shanghai and Hefei of Hot Summer Cold Winter Zone, the distribution of enthalpy difference and the proportion of sensible and latent energy costs of fresh air is analyzed by hourly calculation,which provide the scientific basis for selecting heat exchangers.And potentialities of energy efficiency for exhaust air energy recovery system is researched,the relationship between electricity or other energy saving from heat recovery and energy efficiency of cooling and heat sources and the energy saving difference when indoor humidity control is required and is not required are analyzed.The author accounts for design in engineering application through a typical engineering example with heat recovery system. A experienced formula about the effect of the change of the fresh air temperature and humidity to the heat exchange efficiency is fitted by the method of linear regression,combing with fresh air temperature and humidity, the energy of the heat recovery during the period of the air-conditioning is calculated hourly .Using the software DeST simulates the building load,and author statistics the time of every load segment, thus the energy consumption difference of auxiliary equipment before and after the heat recovery is calculated. At last, the payback period of heat recovery system is analyzed. The results show that the use of heat recovery is economical and energy efficiency.
