Application Of Wavelet Analysis In Fault Diagnosis For Ship Generator By Simulation

Ship electric system is one of the most important system in the ship,and the ship synchronous generator is the heart of the ship electric system,If there are some faults happened in the ship synchronous generator,the supply of electric of the entire ship will be impacted directly,and what will make the ship can not operation regularly.The ship synchronous generator work in a very bad environment,and there are various subjectivity or the objective effect,so various faults or unnormal operation often appear on it.For ensuring the ship's safety operation,we must accurate detect and diagnose any fault of the ship synchronous generator timely,then deal with the fault timely,and keep the supply of electric of the ship reliably.In this paper,the wavelet analysis is used in the fault diagnosis of ship synchronous generator,emulate fault signal by the simulation software, analysis signal by the wavelet analysis,and then diagnose the faults.Wavelet analysis is one kind of late-model effective fault diagnosis method,can express local characteristics of signal in both time domain and frequency.Based on analysising the wavelet analysis and other intelligent trouble diagnosis method, sum up the wavelet analysis has some superiority in equipment fault diagnosis,and sum up the feasibility of the wavelet analysis using in ship synchronous generator's fault diagnosis.Based on the ship synchronous generator's principle,build smulation model by MATLAB/Simulink,emulate the signal of synchronous generator.According to the trait of the fault signal, choose wave function in wavelet toolbox and analysis anolog signal,diagnose the fault,indicate the wavelet analysis method can diagnose the fault of the ship synchronous generator.
