China is a country short of Power resource, as the development demands of constructing energy-efficient country, energy-saving technique development become particularly important. Fans and pumps are widely used in industrial field. Huge power is consumed by them and much energy is wasted. In order to achieve energy conservation, variety of speed control technology is developing rapidly. Analysis by synthesis of domestic and foreign high-voltage high-power speed control technologies, the rotor side of the cascade speed control technology and the stator side of high-voltage frequency control technology are proved as two better solutions. For the fans, pumps and other small speed range (typically 50% ~ 100%), less demanding of system dynamic performance, the rotor side of the Cascade Speed technology has more significant advantages.This dissertation mainly focuses on the study of the rotor-side cascade drive technology and gives the principles and design schemes for the inner-feedback cascade drive system. The inner-feedback chopper cascade drive system, adding a chopper circuit to the topology of the traditional cascade drive system,and the motor speed is regulated by changing the duty ratio of the switch device in the chopper circuit, so energy feedback achieved. As the inverse angle of the thyristor rectifier can stay the same, the inverse angle of the thyristor rectifier could be set to the minimal value, which guarantees the whole system a higher power factor. In this dissertation, the working principle and efficiency analysis of the chopper cascade speed control system, IGBT power transistor as the chopper is adopted, are analyzed. A detailed analysis, the main circuit parameters of the system and the calculation formulas are carried out. The control system adopts dual close loop, the current feed loop and rotational speed feed loop, to realize the speed regulation automatically. Control system and the system developed was simulated in MATLAB; Given the overall presentation of hardware design for the main electrical circuit, software configuration based on PLC and DSP, parameter calculation for the inner-feedback motor and main parameter configuration of the system, The field test and analysis demonstrate that the system achieved the proposed effect ,and verified the feasibility, practicality and the energy-saving of the system, which promise a broad application prospect of the speed regulating system in areas such as speed regulation and power saving in high-power wind turbine, pump loads.
