In recent years, the rapid growth of economic development and the need of electricity, makes the development super-high voltage transmission has become an inevitable trend. With the continuous development of the global economy and public environmental awareness's enhancement, the electromagnetic environment is caused by more and more people. Voltage level higher and wider use of compact lines, corona surrounding the phenomenon of transmission line frequency electromagnetic pollution of the environment may be more serious, and transmission line electromagnetic environment measurement under the electric field is an important parameter. Therefore, under the transmission line on the corona discharge around the calculation of the electric field has a certain theoretical significance and value engineering.Firstly a detailed understanding of the basic concepts of corona discharge, the physical process of corona wire surface field effect and the factors affecting the case, in-depth study and calculation of electric field around transmission lines. In the detailed analysis of the transmission line corona discharge based on physical processes, from the gas discharge theory is derived are polar corona phenomena of space charge formula and proposed a method based on the equivalent exchange of charge under the power line halo field is calculated.
