Experiential Study On Structural And Structural Strength Of Loess

Loess is a special quaternary deposit in continental facies,is one kind of typical structural soil,its special structure affect on the characteristics of engineering mechanics of loess.Alonged with our coutry's west economic development has been growing,the quantity and scale of loess engineering was increased day by day,engineering accidents caused by the loess have emerged,therefore,the structural study of the loess has important theoretical and practical significance.In this paper,as the study of loess in Shaanxi Luochuan,using triaxial shear test,unconfined compression test results,in-depth analysis and system study on structural and structural strength of loess,obtained the structural of loess and structural strength changes of intensity on this basis.First of all,through conventional triaxial test on intact loess and disturbed loess,in-depth analysis and discussed on intact loess and disturbed loess under the triaxial deformation,The results show that water content and confining pressure are the main factors to influence the deformation characteristics,through indoor confined compression tests confirmed the presence of structural loess.Loess'collapsible is the result of loess structure with water to soften and strength reduction.Secondly,on basis of a new soil mechanical method,through confined compression tests and conventional triaxial tests,striked structural parameter,analyzed the factors of loess structural parameters,explained the structural parameters with water content and confining pressure'variation,and discussed that structural parameters with the coefficient of collapsibility,density'relationship.The results show that structural parameters of two test methods variation were similar.Finally,using the test data,studied the structural strength of the loess in detail.Through structural strength of the play curve,analyzed the factors influencing the strength loess structure,explained the structural strength with the variation of various factors in reason,and discussed the structural strength of loess,the relationship between shear strength and the structure of the yield stress.Through sorting out values of shear strength index on intact loess and disturbed loess,established the functional relationship between them,the results show that it can use shear strength of disturbed loess that relationship between water content and density to indirectly find the shear strength of intact loess.
