Porous Asphalt pavement has many advantages, such as drainage, noise reduction, anti-skid performance and so on. Nowadays, it has been widely applied in the world, but it was seldom applied as bridge deck pavement. Based on Xi'an Xianyang International Airport Expressway as a background,the paper studied the application feasibility of porous asphalt pavement to used on the bridge deck pavement.Based on the banlance of durability and function of porous asphalt pavement.The paper used the uniform design method to design gradation. Through the relationship between connectivity voidage, TSR, drainage test and 2.36mm passing ratio,asphalt content,the paper suggested the design method of porous asphalt pavement.The result showed the decrease of the 9.5mm passing ratio increases the connected air void and the permeability.It was proposed the 9.5mm passing rate be set as 50-70% so as to improve the permeability effectively.To improve the durability of the porous asphalt pavement, the paper studied the pavement performance, fatigue and permeability of the porous asphalt pavement with different polyester fiber content.The result showed that the role of fiber in the PFC mixture was to prevent the drainage, improve the flexural strain and reduce the sensitivity of the fatigue. Though the fatigue test with the compound beam of the upper layer and the middle layer,the optimum polyester fiber content is recommended.The paper also studied the permeability of porous asphalt pavement with different gradation and fiber content, and summarized the drainage treatment method at the Xi'an Xianyang International Airport Expressway.Finally,based on Xi'an Xianyang International Airport Expressway Engineering,the technique of construction,maintance,repair about the porous asphalt pavement is summaried.
