The Design Of Fault Simulation Test-bed And Experimental Study On A Gasoline/CNG Flexible-fuel Engine

The dual pressure posed by the crisis of energy and the environment is turnning into the main factors to constrain human development, while, the development of the automotive industry aggravated the crisis. To ease the conflict and promote development, the research on new energy vehicles has become a hotspot of the aotumobile vocation. Nature gas vehicles (NGV) is a new kind of alternative fuel vehicles, because of its energy-saving, low exhaust emissions, economic and safety, NGV has been spreaded and used. With the large-scale application of NGV, the problem that repairman cannot find the fault location speedy and exactly is emergeing gradually. Especially the use of electronic control technology, the failure diagnostics of NGV is becoming more difficult. Therefore, it's urgent to study the structure and failure diagnostics technology of NGV.Mitsubishi 4G15S electronic controlled Gasoline/CNG flexible-fuel engine is our main study object, introduce its structure, analyse the electronic control system, particularly the principium and connection of the sensors and actuators. Design the circuit of the fault simulation test-bed and the control panel based on the analyse of the electronic control system. This fault simulation test-bed can simulate discretional fault, such as signal loss of sensors and actuators, open circuit in the electronic control system, and the control panel can be controlled simply. Besides, the diagram of engine printed on the panel can show the principium clearly. Test the Air Pressure Sensor and Oxygen Sensor on the test-bed, observe the phenomena of failure and analyse the failure mechanism.
