The steel bridge deck is a set of pavement structure, pavement materials and integrated waterproof adhesive material issue.In recent years, based on the paving of long span-bridge deck, there are much more research results, particularly epoxy asphalt in the steel bridge deck, but there are still no correlative criteria. Fatigue damage and destruction is the main two damage forms of epoxy adhesive layer of asphalt mixture of steel bridge deck. Therefore, the study of fatigue damage and adhesive layer damage of steel bridge deck is crucial.First,this paper analyzes the representative failure phenomena of steel bridge deck in china and the Guangdong Pearl River Huangpu Bridge deck overlay problems in the process. this paper studies on the steel bridge deck asphalt overlay fatigue performance from aggregate, epoxy asphalt type, temperature, asphalt content and other factors, the results show that the temperature is the largest effect factors on steel bridge deck overlay fatigue property, followed by the material, asphalt content and the type of epoxy asphalt.For steel deck adhesive layer performance requirements and damage characteristics, this paper firstly analyzes the characteristics of bonding layer test method and points out their defects, and proposes a reasonable way of treatmenting the bonding layer and the steel bridge deck bonding interface, and compares the Japanese and the U.S. two kind of bonding materials anti-shear, anti-pulling performance under different environmental conditions. The results showed that reasonable bonding layer approach can accurately and effectively test the performance of the bonding layer, but epoxy zinc-rich paint significantly reduces bonding property of bonding layer.Finally, this paper comparatively analyses the single beam fatigue test and the composite beam fatigue test, and mades of that steel bridge deck overlay fatigue damage is the consolidated results of the force characteristics and material properties, which made the risk period of steel deck crack.
