CFST arch bridge has developed in our country in recent years, which makes full use of high-strength compressive strength and ductility, but both aspects of the design or construction is complex, that must been specialized researched. Arch ribs-separation problem in CFST arch bridge is a complex engineering problems. With CFST arch bridge as background, Separation problem was in-depth researched in this paper. The paper introduced the essential capability of concrete-filled steel tube and the structure of concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge, and described structural design, calculation and checking of specific methods and steps. With the structural characteristics of the second Zhengzhou Yellow River Highway Bridge, this bridge was dispersed by the finite-element-method, the floor beams, tied beams, boom, arch ribs were simulated by the space beam element, and finite element model was established. The paper analyzed the common separation problem of CFST arch bridge, researched mechanism and cause of the separation problem in CFST arch bridge, and made a theoretical analysis of the force and displacement. Based on the second Zhengzhou Yellow River Highway Bridge, the paper calculated the bridge with ANSYS, analyzed the changes in the ultimate bearing capacity of arch ribs on the different rates of separation when imposed half-bridge load and full bridge load, summarized the influence of the ultimate bearing capacity on the different rates of separation, obtained valid conclusions, and proposed some economic and practical treatment measure for separation on this basis. The conclusion could offer viable reference of this type of bridge design and construction, and provided for some effective basis of health inspection and maintenance for CFST arch bridge.
