Development Of Video Monitor System In Driving Behaviour Test Vehicle

The driving behaviour has directly influence on the safe running of vehicles. Carrying out research of driving behaviours can be used to evaluate the safety of driving behaviour with the aims of reducing the accidents rate. In order to realize the research of driving behaviours, some kinds of sensors were adopt to measure the drivers. Video monitor system was a important part of monitor system of driving behaviour, it can realize the general monitor of driving behaviour and fullly replay of driving process. The research of vehicle video monitor system can provide suggestion of video processing in intelligent cars.Simulated cameras were adopted in vehicle video monitor system, originality videos from cameras were managed by high performance DSP chip which act as exterior compress processor, the manage process including A/D conversion, video coding and video compress. This process gained the H.264 format digital video, then the DSP chip export the digital video to the memory of computer by the PCI interface.Video collection program was compiled by VISUAL C++.NET in the data collection computer. The collection program completed the synchronization video collection of multi-channel and all of this video was been showed in the computer window. Each camera corresponding with a collect channel and a monitor window and video files were created in the storage equipments at the same time. Video was showed in the monitor window and saved into video files with the aim of analyzing later.Vehicle video monitor system was sensitive to vibration and electromagnetism interferential, so the vehicle video monitor system using hardware to reduce vibration and using software anti-jamming to reduce interferential in system. The test results shows that this video monitor system can realize Multi-channel monitor of video, the quality of video monitor was high and the data capacity was less, it satisfy the requirements of vehicle monitor system.
