External prestressing technique which is one important branch of post-tensioned prestressing system, can be used for building, rebuilding and reinforcement project. And it can use to improve the capacity of bending, shearing.In this paper, MIDAS/Civil finite element program is used for the prestressed concrete slab bridge, and the whole bridge model of prestressed concrete slab bridge is constructed with beams, to calculate the carrying capacity before and after strengthening and evaluate the effect of strengthening.1. Discuss the current development of external pre-stress strengthening at home and abroad, and discuss the characteristics and development of prestressed concrete hollow slab bridge systematically.2. Describe the general principles of prestressed concrete, the basic principles of external pre-stress strengthening, and the advantages and disadvantages. Describe the construction of prestressing system.3. New prestressed concrete hollow slab bridge on an overall structural design and calculate the new pattern hollow slab bridge with external prestress and without. The finite element model of prestressed concrete slab bridge is constructed for the whole bridge, using MIDAS/Civil, which is used beam element. Then calculate the force of the new pattern hollow slab bridge with external prestress and without. the effect on the durability of external prestress system after strengthening, and the method of improving the durability of external prestress system are discussed.4. Finally, all the work is summarized and prospect.and propose the future study.Since the prestressed concrete hollow slab bridge hollow slab is widely used. Therefore, this reinforcement technique widely on the defective prestressed concrete hollow slab bridge will have greater social significance and practical value.
