Coating used in ship electronic equipment is one of the most important anti-corrosion measures. When the coating materials of ship electronic equipment are used in the marine environment, they are often influenced by climate change. This will lead to Aging and failure. Thus, in practice, a series of environmental tests are needed to evaluate the coating's weather resistance in different climatic conditions. Currently, 3 test methods, including the natural environmental testing, the natural accelerated testing and the laboratory accelerated testing, are used to evaluate materials durability.The test cycle is too long if the natural environment is used to evaluate materials durability. The evaluation test can not meet the requirements of design, testing, setting in short term very well. Therefore, in order to provide practical accelerated testing methods for the ship electronic equipment designer, it is important to make the research on the relativity of natural environment and laboratory testing results and put forward a strong accelerated test method relationship with natural environment. The accelerating of laboratory testing was discussed to provide dates to predict the service life of coatings.16 kinds of coating used in the ship electronic equipment were selected in this research. They were used to exposure in Xisha Outdoor, salt spray test, Xenon-arc radiation, and xenon arc-salt spray test. The testing results were evaluated from appearance, gloss, color. Aiming at the test results of different test methods, aging phenomena and difference of the coating under different stress were analyzed. Aiming at the polyurethane and acrylic samples, the aging characteristics and causes were discussed and comparatively analyzed base on their aging appearance of four test methods. In this paper, relativity and accelerating was studied between nature and laboratory test results.The research results show that blistering is the main phenomena of coating under salt spray test. Chalking is the main phenomena of coating under Xenon-arc radiation, and this test had no effect on the coating blistering. Blistering and Chalking are the main phenomena of coating under xenon aging - salt spray tests. From external appearances, the xenon aging - salt spray test results is close to Xisha natural exposure results. The relativity between Xisha outdoor exposure test and laboratory testing result is not marked.
