Study On The Function And Landscape Design Of Major City Nodes Of Baotou

City nodes are the key points and control points of urban space network,which determine the formation of the urban space and guide the urban construction. With urban development and renewal, the node space in the space function more and more important and complex. Many elements of city converge and a lot of contradictions or conflict take place in here.City nodes have been a key base of city building for they serve as both major public places for city dwellers and windows to city view and culture. Rational layout, functional urban nodes can guide the city toward the orderly development of space, good nodes landscape environment conducive to promoting the overall construction of urban space and a good atmosphere for the formation of life.In light of its importance, this thesis makes a profound study on node space from the sociology, cultural, environmental psychology, landscape ecology, human geography and other subjects. We will have a new understanding about city nodes. It can improve its strategic value in urban planning.The thesis summarizes the present situation of node space in city construction home and abroad as well as the research achievements in this field. Meanwhile, it mades a detailed analysis of the cultural characteristics of the component elements of city node and the distinctive features of traditional Chinese and Western city nodes. This thesis focus on analying and summarying the type and function of city node and finding out the development rules for the node spatial distribution. It integrates the the node space and landscape to help for the development of city. The article which heory with practice classified the node space and analyzed the landscape of the major cities of Baotou. The thesis select Aerding Square as an example, analyzed the nodes of the landscape and combined with the relevant principles of landscape design to integrate the landscape. It coordinated the external relations of various elements with the nodes and the surrounding environment, so that the city towards the orderly development.It will enhance the function of node space in urban planning and improve the city image.
