The Study To Crack Of The Equipment Of DS60 Excavator

The Equipment of DS60 excavator has been cracked when it worked two years later. For this problem, we have no answers. Therefore, it asked for the study on the design of the Equipment of the excavators.This paper aims at researching and analysis to the crack of Equipment of DS60 excavator. It presents the current CAE technology to the reader. And it shows the model and motion of excavator using the CATIA software. This paper also presents the principle of Finite Element Method and mechanical vibration, static analysis and model analysis by CATIA software, the theory of welding and fatigue expectancy life. We find that the minimum natural frequency of structure is 16Hz. And the working frequency of excavator is out of the natural frequency, so the sympathetic vibration will not happen. At result, we can draw a conclusion that the main reason to the crack of the Equipment is the co-operation of welding stress and working stress in the Equipment. And some suggestions are offered.
