Research Of The Large Flow Of Gas Measurement With PIV, LDV Technology

The energy sources is the foundation of the development of the national economics. However, the energy sources problem has become a critical one in the current national economics. As a sort of clear energy source, the natural gas is widely used around the world. The natural gas measurement is a very important technological work for natural gas regulation. And the heavy flow measurement is the core of natural gas measurement. Furthermore, it has influences on so many aspects of the natural gas flow and great significance to the natural gas measurement.On the basis of the existing method of measuring gas flow, a more detailed description of the current methods used by natural gas flow meter is introduced, and from the application method and the actual flow meter design, the advantages and disadvantages of each method are summarized. Then the need of a new method for gas flow measurement is introduced.The feasibility of the two advanced methods (PIV and LDV method )were analyzed in this article which are used for measuring the gas flow. According to the safety regulations, five conditions which are very common in the gas transportation were explained clearly in the experiments. And the local PIV and LDV measurements were did at this five conditions. After that, the experiment data were obtained and analyzed carefully then. Comparing the measure data with the nozzle flow meters and ultrasonic flow meters, the PIV and LDV measurements to the gas flow were absolutely feasible.Finally, on the basis of the results of the proposal, this paper describes the method of innovation, in addition, according to the results and on-site problems, this paper gives the relevant recommendations. Moreover, combined with foreign literature, recommendations are provided for the next step of the work in the gas flow measurement.
