The highway construction grows rapidly along with the rapid development of national economy in recent years. One common fault of the highway is vehicle bumping at bridgehead. The bumping disease, which seriously affects driving comfort, and reduces vehicle speed and traffic capacity, is one of the most important trouble in road traffic safety.Through investigations of transition sections desease in LiaoNing province, the characteristics of abutment dumping in this region are summarized, and the reason has been analyzed. Basing on reference to literatures and data at home and abroad, this paper researched the treatment technique of vehicle bumping at aspects of pavement treatment and embankment treatment and foundation treatment of behind abutment, and analyzed the adaptability of various treatments.In order to solve the problem of longitudinal slip and wanting compaction of filling material in road embankment, the paper researched the application of pressure grouting method in abutments and culverts filling. The study includes the design method of grouting scheme, selection of materials, construction process and quality control method. The engineering application in FuShun bridge proved that the treatment effect is good.Finally, bridgehead embankment of ShuBei bridge was simulated by software-ABAQUS. The paper analyzed stability of conical slope and vertical strain of approach embankment before and after grouting by using strength reduction FEM. Calculation results showed that the grouting measure prevents soil of embankment slipping, and increases the buckling safety factor of conical slope. Because of grouting materials and soil forming high strength, the capability of resisting vertical deformation can be also improved in large extent. The high strength grouting area can effectively resist automobile loads, and greatly improve the safety factor under the function of automobile loads. Theory and practice has proved that the grouting treatment effect is good and the method is worth extending.
