Single pylon cable-stayed bridge is a new type of cable-stayed bridge, its girder can make full use of the property of steel and concrete. The single pylon cable-stayed bridge is not only perfect in shape and function, but also one of the best solutions to the design with span between 150m to 800m. Single pylon cable-stayed bridge with composite girder combines both advantages of them, and it has a good prospect. The dynamic problems appeared gradually with development of the cable-stayed bridge, especially such as free-vibration property, earthquake-resistance and wind-resistance is very evident. So the dynamic analysis becomes very necessary. The finite element model for SongPu bridge is established with the finite element software ABAQUS, which based on the dynamic calculation methods and theories. SongPu bridge as an example is a single pylon cable-stayed bridge with steel-concrete composite girder. The method and procedure of modeling were introduced in detail, The dynamic properties was analyzed in the model, and the affected factors such as pylon stiffness, initial stress of stay cables, pile foundation, thickness of deck. The damages of bridges that come from seismic hazard are more than other nature disasters, and seism hazard happened frequently, seismic analysis is very essential. Some theories of seismic response were introduced, the seismic analysis was made by the method of dynamic time-history. The seismic wave was inputted from longitudinal and transverse direction respectively, some general rules were obtained by the analysis of displacement response, acceleration response and reaction force response, and these rules can provide references to for the seismic design of other similar bridges.
