Based on Faraday Law of Electromagnetic Induction.Electro-magnetic Flowmeter,a measuring device to measure conductive liquid volume,is made,Not being affected by corrosive fluid, frictional drag in the pipe, the temperature and the density of the fluid,etc, Electro-magnetic Flowmeter is widely used in various industrial ocassions, like measuring the volume rate of flow of slurry, sewage ,every type of chemical materials as well.The traditional measurement device fails to measure fluid flow when the pipe is not fully filled. This dissertation presents a new structure about the electro-magnetic flowmeter of unfilled pipes.The Electro-magnetic Flowmeter is mainly made up of the sensor and the converter. This dissertation chiefly introduces the structure of the traditional device and the factors which affect the accuracy of the measurement. Meanwhile, according to the basic principles of Capacitive Censor, the measuring mechanism of flow velocity and liquid level is designed as for the electro-magnetic flowmeter of unfilled pipes. Namely, between flowmeter lining and measurement section, set up a couple of circular-shaped electrode plates as the measuring electrode of the fluctuating signals of the liquid level, then calculate fluid flow value by system analysis. Furthermore, this simple setting will lay foundation for subsequent verification of this structure's feasibility.The dissertation conduct the research in terms of excitation system of Electromagnetic Flow Transducer. By use of ANSYS, two-dimensional finite element model is set up, which is magnetically coupled the electric circuit of electromagnetic flow transducer and can analyses electro-magnetic field.Theoretical studies in this dissertation lie in several respects such as the device structure, signal processing and excitation system. Besides, the experiment setup of flowmeter of unfilled pipes,in a sense, has a instructional significance to the study of the electro-magnetic flowmeter of unfilled pipes.
